Tyler D. Sten, D.P.M., was born and raised in St. Joseph, Missouri, and is a graduate of Bishop LeBlond High School. He completed his undergraduate studies in biology and health sciences at Missouri Western State University and worked in clinical research at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City prior to medical school.

Dr. Sten earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, where he was elected class president and served as a surgery teaching assistant. He then completed his foot and ankle surgical residency at Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis, where he was selected to serve as chief resident.

Dr. Sten is board certified in forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive/ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and proudly serves as a team physician for Bishop LeBlond athletics.
