John Weitlich, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in general orthopedics, orthopedic trauma, and fracture management. He provides both operative and nonoperative care for a range of common conditions, including thumb and wrist arthritis, knee arthritis, and pediatric fractures.

Dr. Weitlich earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, where he also played football and ran track. He went on to complete his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Missouri.

Dr. Weitlich's interest in orthopedic surgery began while working as a certified nursing assistant during college. While shadowing Dr. Brett Miller, he quickly discovered a passion for the specialty and committed to pursuing a career in orthopedic surgery.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Weitlich enjoys spending time outdoors and playing golf. He also plays the guitar and values time spent with his wife and two daughters.
